Nightcrawlers, Crackers, and Beer is a campy, brooding thriller that features two old friends getting reacquainted with one another during a fishing trip. Jim and Cooper set out to have a nice time on the lake, enjoying the weather, and catching their dinner when the past breaks the peaceful tone of the day. Frustrations set in when Cooper's efforts to make a good catch are interrupted by an oblivious, slightly intoxicated Jim. When the conversation veers towards a sore subject, the pain of the past threatens to end the friendship altogether.
